INSTRUCTOR: SAMANTHA STOVER

This class will focus on drawing from the model in various length poses, from short gestures up to long-poses. Participants will learn different techniques of drawing with dry media: including charcoal, chalk, and pastel. By observing and studying aspects such as proportion, structure, volume, gravity, and space, students will build dexterity and visual acuity in composing the figure. In addition to achieving greater facility for mimetic representation of the human form, the goal of this course is to achieve various effects of motion, emotion and the spirit of individuality.
